Dr. Lien T.K. Nguyen is originally from Manitoba, Canada. At a very young age, she grew up knowing that she wanted to be a stellar Optometrist. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from The University of Manitoba and her Doctorate of Optometry from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Nguyen is licensed in the use of Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents and certified by the National Board of Optometry in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. While in optometry school, she was on student council and went abroad on a volunteer mission to Dominican Republic providing eye care to the underserved population.
Dr. Nguyen completed clinical externships with honors at multiple hospitals, community health centers, and specialty contact lens clinics. Her most rewarding academic experience was in diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease at the VA in Connecticut.
She has worked in private practice and Lenscrafters providing high quality eye care for people of all ages, including infants and toddlers.
In addition to providing primary care optometric services, Dr. Nguyen has a special interest in children’s eye care, fits a variety of contact lenses, and co-manages refractive laser surgery, and myopic management.
Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with her three young children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, exploring the hiking trails of California, traveling the world and is passionate about mental health and fitness.
